The First Sunday in February

When the “Mont Ventoux and Comtat Venaissin Brotherhood of the Black Truffle”, or Confrérie de la Truffe Noire as it is known in French, celebrates the black diamond, Carpentras smells beautifully of truffles. Take part in inductions, tastings, culinary workshops, conferences, farmers’ markets. See demonstrations of digging for truffles…. The “tuber melanosporum” lends itself to an interesting day which gathers a good crowd sharing the same passion.
